Two small bone trabeculea formed by the junction of smaller trabeculae appear at a more advanced stage (trabeculae highlighted in orange). Observe several osteocytes within the bone matrix (highlighted in green) and osteoblasts and osteoprogenitor cells lining the external and internal surfaces of the trabeculae.
