PATTERNS OF ORGANIZATION OF THE LAMELLAR BONE
The lamellae of the bone are organized into two main spatial configurations:
Flat or slightly curved lamellae – sets of varying numbers of parallel lamellae.
Curved, tube-shaped lamellae – they are hollow cylinders and are almost always organized in sets of 3 to 15 concentric lamellae, placed one inside the other.
