PATTERNS OF ORGANIZATION OF THE LAMELLAR BONE
The lamellae of the bone are organized in two main spatial configurations:
– Flat or slightly curved lamellae that formorganized as parallel stacks.
– Curved, tube-shaped lamellae form cylinders and are formed by sets of 3 to 15 concentric lamellae, one placed inside the other.
