LOOSE CONNECTIVE TISSUE – 3
The transitional epithelium that covers the internal epithelium of the bladder is supported by a layer of loose connective tissue that allows some movement of the epithelium during the bladder’s stages of filling and emptying.
This loose connective tissue contains numerous resident and transient connective tissue cells, primarily fibroblasts, as well as thin collagen fibers disposed in many directions.
