TRANSIENT CELLS OF THE CONNECTIVE TISSUE – 7
Eosinophils

The arrows indicate eosinophils in the connective tissue underlying the epithelium that lines the small intestine. Most have two nuclear lobules. Their cytoplasm is entirely taken up by large eosinophilic granules, that give it an orange/reddish color after HE staining.
