TRANSIENT CELLS OF THE CONNECTIVE TISSUE – 7
Eosinophils
The images show eosinophils (arrows) in the connective tissue underlying the epithelium lining of a small intestine. Most eosinophils have two nuclear lobes. Their cytoplasm is entirely taken up by large eosinophilic granules, which give it an orange/reddish color after HE staining.
