HEMATOPOIESIS
Erythrocytic lineage

Basophilic erythroblast
Small cell, nucleus with dense chromatin and basophilic (bluish) cytoplasm.

Polychromatophilic erythroblast
Small cells with spherical nuclei containing dense chromatin and cytoplasm with a color intermediate between basophilic and red blood cell color.
Linhagem granulocĂ­tica

Promyelocyte
Large cell with a nearly spherical nucleus of loose chromatin containing two nucleoli (lighter circles within the nucleus). Slightly basophilic cytoplasm containing small granules.

Neutrophil metamyelocyte
Small cell with a thick, rod-shaped nucleus and cytoplasm containing neutrophilic granules.
