CELLS OF THE ERYTHROCYTIC AND GRANULOCYTIC LINEAGES

Basophilic erythroblast
Small cell, nucleus with dense chromatin and basophilic cytoplasm.

Mielócito
Large cell with an indented nucleus and delicate chromatin. The slightly basophilic cytoplasm contains small purple granules – these are nonspecific azurophilic granules.

Bone marrow smear. Staining: Leishman. Large magnification.
