LOOSE CONNECTIVE TISSUE – 3
The transitional epithelium of the bladder is supported by a layer of loose connective tissue, which allows some movement of the epithelium during the bladder’s various stages of filling and emptying it.
This loose connective tissue contains numerous cells, primarily fibroblasts, as well as thin collagen fibers.
