NEUTROPHILS – 2
Observe segmented neutrophils (highlighted in red). They measure approximately 10–15 µm in diameter, making them larger than red blood cells. Their most characteristic feature is their lobulated nucleus, while their cytoplasm stains relatively lightly.
One band (young) neutrophil is highlighted in purple. Its nucleus is not yet lobulated and has a curved shape resembling the letter C.
Several plasma cells are highlighted in green. Notice the pale Golgi region in the cytoplasm, indicated by the arrow in one cell.
Lymphocytes are highlighted in blue. Their small, round, strongly stained nuclei occupy most of the cell, leaving only a thin rim of cytoplasm around them.
