THINKING ABOUT 3-DIMENSIONS – 1
Which three-dimensional structure or geometric shape is seen as a circle after being sliced?
Looking only at the image of the slice under a microscope, we cannot easily know which was the shape of an object before it was sectioned.
Looking only one section, we may confuse the section of a cylinder with the section of a sphere, if the cylinder is sectioned transversally and if the sphere is sectioned right through its center, since the images of both sections are very similar.
