WHICH TISSUE IS THIS?
Three very distinct regions can be seen in this image
- a “blank”, white upper strip, a space without any content. It is most probably an empty space, perhaps the internal cavity of an organ or the external surface of the body.
- a well-stained, acidophilic (pink) middle band where many nuclei can be seen.
- a light pink acidophilic lower band where few nuclei are present.
In the next page you will see a larger magnification of a region similar to that of the blue rectangle.
