WHICH TISSUE IS THIS? – 2<\/strong> <\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\nThis image is a larger magnification of a region similar to that outlined in the figure on the previous page.
\nOnce again, the three regions are present.
\nThe upper region<\/strong> is empty, probably a body cavity or the external surface of the body.
\nThe middle layer<\/strong> is well stained, contains many cells, considering the amount of nuclei that can be seen.
\nThe lower layer<\/strong> has fewer cells, judging by the small amount of nuclei. The cells are separated from each other by an extracellulr space that contains a filamentous structures.

\nAre these last two layers formed by the same type of tissue or by different tissues?

The middle region shows manny features of a covering epithelial tissue<\/strong>, unlike the lower strip, which has the features of a connective tissue<\/strong>.
\nAs a matter of fact, this makes a lot of sense, because epithelial tissues are always supported by connective tissue.<\/p>\n
