Os linf\u00f3citos constituem a popula\u00e7\u00e3o predominante de c\u00e9lulas e alguns linf\u00f3citos est\u00e3o destacados em cor laranja.<br \/>\nAs popula\u00e7\u00f5es de outros tipos celulares dependem um pouco do estado funcional de cada linfonodo, principalmente se estiver em situa\u00e7\u00e3o de uma resposta imunol\u00f3gica e do tipo ou tipos de ant\u00edgenos que foram reconhecidos.<br \/>\nNo caso do linfonodo apresentado na imagem, h\u00e1 uma grande popula\u00e7\u00e3o de <strong>plasm\u00f3citos <\/strong> no cord\u00e3o medular. Plasm\u00f3citos s\u00e3o c\u00e9lulas secretoras de imunoglobulinas derivadas de linf\u00f3citos B. Est\u00e3o destacados em verde.<br \/>\nV\u00e1rios tipos celulares presentes nos linfonodos n\u00e3o podem ser distinguidos em cortes preparados rotineiramente.
