The folia are visible on the organ&#8217;s surface and can be distinguished in the sectioned organ (lower figure). The limits of one folium are labeled in red.<br \/>\nNotice the distribution of the white and gray matters in each folium:<br \/>\n&#8211; a portion of the <strong>white matter<\/strong> (labeled with a light tone of blue) connects it with the white matter of the brain.
