They are visible on the organ&#8217;s surface and can be distinguished in the sectioned organ (lower figure). The boundaries of a folium are labeled in red.<br \/>\nDistribution of white and gray matter in each folium:<br \/>\n&#8211; <strong>a region of white matter<\/strong> (indicadted by the arrow) connects each folium with the brain white matter.
