Its is called <strong>epiphyseal disc<\/strong>,  <strong>epiphyseal plate<\/strong> or <strong>growth plate<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The main events that result in the longitudinal growth of a long bone take place in the epiphysial disk.
