Most eosinophils have a <strong>bilobed nucleus<\/strong>, with two nuclear lobules connected by a thin strand of chromatin.<br \/>\nTheir cytoplasm is filled with numerous large<strong> eosinophilic granules<\/strong>. These granules have a strong affinity for eosin, causing the cytoplasm to appear orange-red in routinely stained preparations.
